Diving is a beautiful, and fun sport that I simply can't get enough of. One of the hardest parts about getting into diving is finding where to dive, and who to dive with! I found that part very time consuming, and at times frustrating and sad :(
My goal is to help people learn about locations to dive, experience them, and do so with a Dive Buddy who is there for them, their safety, and their fun-factor!
Since day one I have believed that a good dive buddy is someone who can remain calm in stressful situations, provide rescue and mitigate emergency situations, and has an array of experience and training to help manage various diving scenarios.
In order to do that right out the gate, I followd the PADI Master SCUBA Diver path, and as a result was trained in several disciplines by divers I respect, admire and still learn from today!
From there I went on to become a PADI Certified Divemaster, which is a professional tier of SCUBA diver. Both of these certifications required me to be an experienced diver, and a Rescue Diver (CPR/ In and Out of water emergency scenarios and so on).
And Finally (and continuously) I became a certified PADI instructor! So fun!
With this, I can certify people to become basic Open Water divers. PADI is recognized around the world, so you can flash that card, and dive anywhere!
Additionally, I can teach a number of specialty and advanced certifications (contact me if you are curious about these):
Master SCUBA Diver
Advanced Open Water Diver
Rescue Diver
Deep Water Diver (one of my absolute favorites)
Night Diver
Wreck Diver
Dry Suit (Hi Minnesota...lol)
Full Face Mask
Dive Master (Professional Tier)
So here I am today, and my chosen title is "Dive Buddy" even though I am an "Instructor", because I feel it's a high honor to be considered to SCUBA dive with others either as a mentor, an instructor, or simply for fun, and I hope to dive with YOU soon!
